Invitation to ASME & IEEE Engineering Career Fair on May 14 at Ryerson U, Toronto

Good day Sir or Madam,


My name is Anton Dubov and I am contacting you on behalf of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Ontario Section and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Toronto Section, two volunteer-run and well known organizations committed to promoting the engineering profession to both its members and the general public. Our team is hosting an engineering career fair at Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens (50 Carlton Street, Toronto, ON M5B 1J2) on May 14th from 10 AM to 3 PM to provide its attendees with both company job/career opportunities and/or for informational purposes.  The event will also be aimed towards promoting its respective attending organizations as well as ASME, IEEE and Ryerson University, and its fellow hosting sponsors. For your information, online more than 730 engineering professional from 36 organizations have thus far registered.

Career Fair will providing thousands of attending engineering professionals, broadening from all engineering fields. These engineering fields include aerospace, automotive, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, industrial, management, manufacturing, mechanical, mechatronics, nuclear and software engineering. Employed and unemployed working professionals alike will thereby be present and seeking future opportunities in Ontario.

In the interest of hosting employer companies please see the attached package document for initial Career Fair details.  Hosting employers will be required to pay a fee of $60 per attendee.  This fee will cover the expenses required for 10’ by 10’ presentation area, draped table and chairs, electrical power, parking and food/refreshments.  With these set limitations in place, additional fees are necessary should you require more resources than initially offered.  To register, please do so online by visiting the following link; http://www.asmeontario.org/events/asmeengineeringcareerfair/registration.  


In order to expose this event to a vast engineering professional audience, multiple promotional measures will be taking place.  A promotional Career Fair web-page for these interested candidates will be made with information pertaining to your organization and a link to your website.  A broadcast email with a link to this promotional web-page will also reach engineering societies and networks such as ASME, IEEE, PEO Chapters throughout the GTA, STLE, WIE, CSBE-SCGAB, CEO, ASHRAE, CSCE and Universities Alumni; reaching the attention of tens of thousands of Ontario’s engineering professionals.


We will be offering a job postings section on our official Career Fair webpage to assist your organization should you wish to advertise specific career postings being offered at the fair ahead of time, providing attendees with advanced insight on what positions you will seek to fill.  Once registered, you may do so by simply sending the job posting information with contact information via email to our event chair, Anton Dubov (andubov@gmail.com).  The information will also be distributed to registered attendees individually as we get closer to the day of the fair.
