Rehabilitation is defined as bringing one back to normal after suffering an injury, illness, drug problem, etc. (Merriam-Webster) and it’s something that both the victim and their family & friends deeply desire regardless of the issue or cause.  In the 21st century, humanity has the technology to engineer solutions to any problem given the right research and resources.  Here in our own backyard of Toronto, ASME Ontario Section is proud to give you the chance to see one of the world’s most technologically advanced rehabilitation research environments and its cutting edge laboratories.

ASME Ontario Section is proud to present a “Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Tour”!  On Thursday, June 19, 2014, we will explore the wonders engineering has to offer in its quest to strengthen and save lives.  The University Health Network’s (UHN) iDAPT Centre for Rehabilitation Research consists of more than 65,000 square feet of research space, dedicated to serving its team of scientists and engineers in their quest to use physics, biology and chemistry in a new light for the sake of improving human lives.  Come join us and feel free to invite friends and family to this once in a lifetime sneak peek into the potential future of human rehabilitation!
